James Wilson hoping to get a place in the first team of Manchester United for the title next season.

Wilson now lives competing with Wayne Rooney and Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez for next season following the departure of Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao.

For now, the 19-year-old young man was following United's pre-season tour to the United States together and hoping to steal the hearts of manager Louis van Gaal.

"I hope so," said Wilson told ManUtd.com when asked if you want to get a regular role in the next season. "I just have to show the manager what I have.

"He knows my qualities, so I just had to take it out on the field, show him what I can do and hopefully I get a chance to play in this season," he added.

Wilson also expressed his hope to avoid injury as he said he was happy with the opportunity that is available in pre-season this time.

"It's difficult for a manager with so many players playing in the tour because everything must obtain minutes of play, so it was fun to play in two games, and played for 45 minutes was good," he added.

"I feel fit and I just hope not to injury last season. It will be an important year for me. "
